Watford and Barnsley are two professional football clubs in England. Watford Football Club, nicknamed The Hornets, is based in the town of Watford, Hertfordshire, and was founded in 1881. The club has spent most of its history in the lower leagues of English football but has enjoyed some successful seasons in the Premier League, notably finishing as runners-up in the FA Cup in 2018. Barnsley Football Club, nicknamed The Tykes, is based in the town of Barnsley, South Yorkshire, and was founded in 1887. The club has a rich history, including winning the FA Cup in 1912, but has primarily played in the lower leagues of English football in recent decades. Both clubs currently compete in the EFL Championship, the second tier of English football.
